DECATUR, Ga. – The Agnes Scott College volleyball team (0-4) fell 3-0 (25-17, 25-10, and 25-10) to the Panthers of Clark Atlanta University (2-6) Wednesday night inside Woodruff Gymnasium.

Senior Alex Roquemore (Dallas, Texas) led the Scotties with five kills, one service ace and two blocks while first year Adrionna Foster (Oxford, Ala.) had 10 assists and first year Jessa Torres (San Antonio, Texas) collected seven digs.

In the first set, the Panthers took a 9-3 lead after three-straight miscues from the Scotties. Eventually CAU would stretch its lead to double digits over ASC before capturing the set point on a Panthers kill.

The second set was all Clark Atlanta as the Panthers had seven services aces in route to the 25-10 set win and 2-0 lead.

Agnes Scott took a 1-0 lead in the third but CAU followed up with eight-straight points to take an 8-2 lead. The Scotties went on a mini run, scoring seven unanswered to pull within three (13-10) but the Panthers managed to tack on three more points before going on a 8-4 scoring frame to close out the set win (25-10) and match victory.

CAU finished with 21 kills, 39 digs, 19 assists and 14 services aces while Agnes Scott collected 12 kills, 12 assists and 30 digs.

Agnes Scott will next travel to Columbus, Mississippi to participate in the 2022 Owls Invitational hosted by Mississippi University for Women on September 10-11. During the Invitational the Scotties will face Tougaloo College, Lane College, Mississippi University for Women and Miles College.
