DECATUR, Ga. – Jaelynn Palmer went one-for-three with two RBIs to lead the Mississippi University for Women attack. Palmer added a triple and two RBIs for the Owls, while MUW scored four runs.
Michaela Dailey had three hits and an RBI to lead the Agnes Scott offense, while
Megan Smith added a hit.
Gigi Elizondo and
KayLeigh Fitzgerald both added a hit each for the Scotties.
Agnes Scott once again took an early lead, with Dailey starting the game with a single, then scored
Kilee Thomas.
The host Mississippi University for Women answered in the bottom of the first plating four runs to secure the victory. Both teams remained scoreless the rest of the contest.
The Scotties finished the contest with six hits and one error.
Kaitlyn Parrish got the win, moving to 2-1. She allowed a run on six hits in seven innings of work, striking out three.
Sidney Strama took the loss, falling to 0-2. She allowed four runs on five hits in six innings, striking out four and walking one.
Agnes Scott is back in action Wednesday, traveling to LaGrange, Georgia for doubleheader action against LaGrange College. First pitch is slated for 5 p.m.
