ATLANTA—Agnes Scott Volleyball fell to Oglethorpe in three sets on a rainy Wednesday night in the city. The Scotties hung tough in the opening two sets before the Stormy Petrels were able to pull away in the third to clinch it without any extra games.
The Scotties fall to 0-21 on the season, while Oglethorpe snapped a 12-match losing streak to improve to 6-19.
First-year Alex Roquemore (Dallas, Texas) had an exceptional night for the Scotties with a team-high 11.5 points. The middle hitter led the team with eight kills and a .400 hitting mark, while also turning in two service aces and one and half total blocks. Tiara White (Sinton, Texas) finished with seven kills for Agnes Scott while Caroline Irving (Columbus, Ga.) directed the offense with 17 assists.
Agnes Scott finishes up its schedule this weekend when it hosts Brevard and Piedmont in the final USA South Conference quad match of the 2019 season.
